Bronchial Epithelial Cells


Asterand’s bronchial epithelial cells are derived from single donors and are cryopreserved after secondary culture.  All cases are provided with clinical data.  When cultured under air-liquid interface conditions, human bronchial epithelial cells are valuable for the study of many of the functions of the airway including mucociliary differentiation, mechanisms of mucus secretion, epithelial ion transport, and epithelial wound healing. Asterand's bronchial epithelial cells from donors with cystic fibrosis carry the deltaF508 CFTR mutation and are a valuable tool for the study of the underlying ion transport defect of the disease and for the identification of drugs to correct the defect.    

 

All Bronchial Epithelial Cells are provided in cryovials containing approximately 1x106 cells.
